INSPIRE A SHARED VISION

OVERVIEW

Inspiring a shared vision is trying to share an objective with others and them understanding the goal and then working as a team to achieve this goal. One of the most important parts of any of these leadership strategies is building credibility among your peers. If your peers or team doesn't 100% believe that you are correct to have this goal or that the goal is worthwhile, then they won't follow you or won't be as dedicated to the goal as they would be if they had trust in you. if you have credibility then they will be bigger part or help to the team because they believe that the goal is the correct one so they can get behind it easier.

DEMONSTRATION

In Class, we had an activity with a start and a finish and in between those two points was a bunch of metal disks that were "Land Mines" and we had a partner with whom we had to instruct to walk across that space so that they didn't step on any of the mines. I inspired a shared vision during the project by explaining to my potential followers the end goal of our movement.

REFLECTION

Some possible outcomes of a leader not being able to inspire a shared vision include limited followers, not knowing where the movement or project is going or where it will end. The first thing that I thought about was my paintball team when we are playing in a tournament, inspiring a shared vision with them could look like trying to have a goal of as much communication as possible and obviously to win.

^^THE GROUP SEES THE SAME END GOAL^^
